The Composition Of Copper Conductor

Copper conductor consists of a single copper wire or a plurality of copper wires, which are described as follows:

1. Hard copper wire: it is cold-processed by extension wire and has high tensile strength. It is suitable for conductors of overhead transmission lines, distribution lines and construction lines.

2. Soft copper wire, hard wire heating to remove residual stress produced by cooling processing, rich softness and flexibility, and has high electrical conductivity, to build communication and power cable conductor, electrical machinery and all kinds of household appliances wires.

3. Semi-hard copper wire: the tensile strength is between hard copper wire and soft copper wire, used for binding wires of overhead wires and distributing wires of radios.

4. Tinned copper wire: the copper wire is coated with tin to increase the weldability and protect the copper conductor from corrosion when PVC or rubber insulation is removed, and prevent the rubber insulation from aging.

5. Flat copper wire: the copper wire with a square or rectangular section is used to make induction coils such as large transformers or motors.

6. Oxygen-free copper wire, high oxygen content below 0.001%, the purity of copper wire, the copper content in more than 99.99%, not by oxygen embrittlement, to traverse of the vacuum tube, semiconductor parts and very fine wires etc.

7. Enamelled wire: after the copper wire is softened, the surface is coated with insulating paint, which is dried by heating. Generally, it is divided into natural resin and synthetic resin enameled wire.

8. Copper foil wire: a conductor wound around a fibrous wire with flat, extremely thin copper wire.

9. Stranded and plated wire: after the copper wire is twisted, aluminum is plated.

10. Copper clad steel: generally used for coaxial cables for signal transmission (such as TV and VCD connection, outdoor TV antenna, CCTV, etc.; a hard line with higher tensile strength, in the mountain area, cross the river for overhead line when waiting for a long, according to the thickness of copper, the general points conductive rate 21%, 30%, 40%, etc.

11. Alloy copper: composed of copper and other conductor metals, such as copper and nickel alloys, used for special purpose lines.
